OLD TOWN SCOTTSDALE

Formerly known as ‘Downtown Scottsdale’, Old Town is the perfect mix of old and new. Unofficially dubbed ‘The West’s Most Western Town’, Old Town’s recent name change was a nod to the cities’ historically wild west roots and a promise to move confidently into the future.

A year-long study prompted the change as the city’s leaders look to preserve the culturally rich past while creating a fresh, progressive attitude that invites new businesses and artists to make a home here.

Speaking of artists, that’s one of Old Town Scottsdale’s biggest draws. The art scene here is second-to-none, with a centrally located shopping center that hosts the ever-popular Scottsdale ArtWalk every Thursday, year-round. Featuring an eclectic array of local artists and art, this very walkable outdoor show is also the perfect opportunity to check out the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. There, you can find everything from 200-year-old Native American pieces, to eccentric, modern art. Either way, you won’t find this kind of variety anywhere else!

Not to be outdone, the food scene in Old Town is just as colorful as the art! Along the city’s main corridor, you’ll find old western favorites like the Rusty Spur Saloon just a stones-throw-away from modern, upscale dinner locations, chic nightclubs, and comfortable bistros and coffee shops. Young professionals and mingling singles are a common sight on a Friday or Saturday night.

For nature and outdoor lovers, Old Town doesn’t disappoint. After you catch the ArtWalk on Thursday and have a fabulous Friday night out, you can head for the nearby hills of Camelback Mountain or Pinnacle Peak for the many beautiful hikes and trails that make Arizona infamous. Old Town’s proximity to these fitness favorites makes it one of the healthiest communities in all of Arizona.

The housing in Old Town Scottsdale perfectly suits the art, food, and fitness scenes. Most of the homes are luxury condos and apartments featuring concierge services, modern fitness facilities, private parking, and exclusive pools and spas. For families who want a piece of the city life, the outskirts feature traditional Arizona ranch-style homes on quiet streets with mature olive trees and views of the surrounding mountains and hills.

If you’re looking for a historically rich community with a vibrant downtown life, Old Town Scottsdale may be just right for you. Call today to see what’s available and schedule a showing!
