Many residents can even walk or bike to work. For a little bit more adventure, you can head to White Tanks Mountain Regional Park, which is just a few minutes away from the heart of the city. Here, you can mountain bike, rent an ATV, or hike the ridges and canyons while you try to catch a peek at the local desert wildlife.
One of the Surprises’ most surprising features is the Sustainable Surprise program. This eco-friendly program offers free classes to community residents on recycling, upcycling, water conservation, and sustainable landscaping. The program has been popular since its inception and is expected to grow.
